Originally from Guadeloupe, Jade Almeida (elle/she/her) completed her PhD in Sociology under the supervision of Sirma Bilge. Her thesis focuses on black women who love women and their resistance in the face of intersecting power relations. As a content creator, she provides training on her site concerning issues related to anti-racist, anti-imperialist and anti-prison struggles. She is also a columnist for À Babord! magazine, co-project coordinator for the LGBT Québec Council’s Pour des Pratiques Inclusives project, and co-founder of Harambec, an advocacy organization for Black women and Black non-binary people.
